About The Children Christian Mission

About the Organization
The Children Christian Mission is a not for profit Christian, non Governmental Organization in Uganda that was established in West Buganda Diocese to reach out to children in vulnerable circumstances. Through Christian love and Care, the Organization aims to advocate for the well being of vulnerable children and rehabilitate them to live transformed, positive and productive normal lives. The organization exists to demonstrate and foster implementation of actions that produce desirable out comes with lasting positive impact on the lives of these children.

Main areas of intervention
The organization is carries out its operations in Uganda in the fields of;- Child rights awareness, skills training and education, enhancement of vocational educational initiatives, Promotion of Health services development, Safe water access for the vulnerable children, Economic empowerment for the vulnerable children,  Environmental Conservation and Agro-business Development, HIV/AIDS scale-up,  Construction, equipment and improvement of Schools Infrastructure among others. 

Vision
“Thou shall build the old waste places, thou shall raise up the foundations of many generations and thou shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of paths to dwell in” Isaiah.58:12

Mission
“To advocate for the deliverance of vulnerable children to deliver them from economic, social, spiritual and cultural bondages and through Christian love and care, rehabilitate them to live transformed, positive and productive normal lives”

Role
“To raise resources to power the realization of each touched objective through cooperation with persons, organizations or institutions that have as their aim through education, protection and development of vulnerable children”

 

Our definition of “Vulnerable Children

  • Children living or working on streets.
  • Orphans.
  • Children who have to work for their living.
  • Children whose psychosocial needs are neglected.
  • Children who live in areas which are difficult to reach including mountains and islands.
  • Children who have to walk long distances to go to school.
  • Children with special needs like the lame.
